Is carpet a better alternative?

Carpet flooring is not without its benefits. Carpet is softer to the touch than hardwood flooring, and more enjoyable to walk on. It also has more give which can cushion and sometimes prevent falls, as there is more friction from the individual fibers of the flooring. Keep in mind that carpet flooring is much harder to clean and maintain, although it is also a great deal cheaper in most scenarios.

There is much debate on whether carper flooring presents a better alternative to hardwood flooring. Depending on the purpose of the room you wish to renovate, one choice may have a clear advantage over the other. Nevertheless, you must take all of these factors into account, and take a detailed look at your budget before embarking on such an endeavor.
